It’s less of a workshop and more of a party. :) $10 gets you a spot and a flat ornament/magnet to glaze. We have 3D things (pumpkins, ring holders, flowers, skulls, spooky things) that are $15. You can upgrade your basic 2D or purchase additional items at the studio.

We have earlier times for kids (or early birds) and the later times it will be darker and the pots will glow especially well. As Raku is unpredictable, the times are more of guidelines. Expect to be there 1 - 1.5 hours for glazing and firing. Some people might be longer, others might be shorter when it comes to painting.

If you're unfamiliar, Raku is a way of glazing and firing pots. We'll fire them in a kiln, and when they are about 1700 degrees, we'll use tongs and carefully take out the glowing orange pots. Then they are put into a container with combustibles and we close the lid so they can smoke and hopefully do magic things. They'll still be warm when we take them out and dunk them in water.

It's hot and can be smokey and is a whole lot of fun, and you can participate in the firing as much as you are comfortable. We’ll do the rest.
