A typical class is 8-10 people where most, if not all, are super beginners to clay. People have different expectations of what they want to achieve. Some are coming for a fun activity with friends or family, some are trying ceramics as a hobby, and some want more detailed help and instructions. Some people will have a specific item they would like to make and some are fine with whatever happens. Each person will have a wheel and while we start everyone on the same steps, it quickly ascends into chaos. The primary goal is to help everyone, and ensure they’re having an enjoyable time. Some people find the wheel frustrating (because it is) and occasionally these students will need more assistance, but it’s important not to lose track of the quieter attendees.

If this sounds like a good fit, please fill out this application to apply. And thanks!
