Raku! Finally! We love a pit fire, but the magic of Raku is like nothing else. We’ll have a couple workshops you can attend to prepare some items. Or if you’re interested in just the firing, you can sign up at the same link.
Somewhat related to Raku is the Mold Making workshop we’ve always wanted to host. We’ll show you how to make a plaster mold from an item of your choice and then you can use it to cast forms for the Raku fire.
Plaster molds are how many commercially produced ceramics are made. Once the mold is finished, you can pour in specially prepared clay slip and you will have an exact replica of your item. You can see more of the mold making process here. And the slip pouring here.

Sale
Amanda will have stuff for sale on Saturday, Dec 16 at Ceramic Heights during the normal hours of 12-8pm. Technically stuff is always for sale, but she’s going to make it look pretty and attach price tags (probably). It will remain up and available through the 23rd.
Holiday Hours
The studio will be closed Dec 25- Jan 2, reopening January 3, 2024 with normal hours of 12-9pm.
Gift Cards
We have Muddy Time gift “cards” on the website that you can purchase for family or friends. The first available Saturday is in March (!) so you are aware they will not be able to schedule immediately. We do, however, usually have a wheel or two that opens up every Saturday. If you’re looking for something else, shoot us an email and we’ll get back to you.
Ghost Night
We will start taking reservations for Valentine’s Day when we return from break. Keep your eyeballs peeled, or sign up for the mailing list and we’ll let you know as soon as the schedule is live.
